Rhinoceros beetles are some of the largest beetles in the world (they can grow up to six inches long) and come from the same family as scarabs. They are also known as Hercules or Unicorn beetles. They are really very friendly, they cannot bite or sting, but they sure have a strong grip, and they hiss when threatened. Sometimes they are treated as pets in Asia and are also used in gambling tournaments where they fight each other (the males naturally fight each other for the attention of females!)
