Intertwined snakes are a really old symbol dating back to Sumerian times (5,000+ years) and are found eating their own tails in ancient Egyptian glyphs and a whole variety of religious, esoteric and alchemic texts since then. This represents self-renewal and Eternity. In this slightly more complex design, two snakes are seen eating each others tails in an endless Infinity knot. We originally designed this piece to come apart as a clasp, but now offer it joined into a single pendant, one gold plated. Also available with custom gemstone eyes.
